Cassie Lynn McKowen

Cassie was born on April 1, 1954 in Roswell, New Mexico to Kenneth and Iris. Cassie was a long time resident of Katy, Texas for 33 years. She graduated from West Texas State University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She later on received two Masters Degrees – one from University of Houston with a Master of Education and one from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston with a Master of Science in Nursing. Cassie lovingly raised her four children and decided to return to nursing once they were grown. She was a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church and she was in Phi Mu sorority. She enjoyed gardening, mowing, cooking and playing the piano. Cassie loved spending time with her family and was described as a friend to all.

Cassie was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Lynn McKowen; brother, Kenny Ray Dilldine; father, Kenneth Dilldine. She leaves behind her daughter Maddie McKowen; daughter Alex Fontova and her husband, Andre; her son Matt and his wife Nicole; two grandchildren, Windsor Fontova and Ean McKowen; mother Iris Miller; sister Paula McClellan and her husband, Mark; sister Pamela Frady and her partner Randy Miller.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8th at 3pm at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church located at 717 Sage Rd, Houston, TX 77056 followed by a reception at Bagby Parish Hall.
