On November 18, 1967, in Houston, Texas, the hearts of J. L. and Melia Stagg was filled with joy at the arrival of a beautiful daughter whom they proudly named CARRIE ANN STAGG Carrie attended schools in the Houston Independent School District and ultimately graduated from Booker T. High School in 1986. She went on to attend the Texas College of Medical and Dental Careers and graduated in 1987 as a Medical Assistant. Carrie married her high school sweetheart, Mr. Patrick Price and to this union was born a bouncing baby boy, named Patrick Ra'Shad Price. She affectionately called her son the "Angel who had the key to her heart!" Carrie worked at Memorial Hermann Hospital System for 15 years in Radiology, where she remained a dedicated employee until her health begin to fail. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she remained faithful to her Lord and her strong will to fight against this disease. She had both a passion and an intense sense of empathy for people and children. As a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many, she extended her love through giving. Carrie accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a very early age and continued to serve Him until He called her home. She connected with Bishop James Dixon, II and Northwest Community Baptist Church (now known as The Community Of Faith Church) on July 10, 1988. She served as a Greeter in the Hospitality Ministry. She was a faithful Empower Your Day Connector. She loved being a part of the 7-minute/7 days a week morning devotional with Bishop Dixon. She also was a committed and dedicated Visioneer for 27 yrs, and loved her Pastor and her church dearly. An angel of The Lord called Carrie's name from Heaven to come home and be at rest on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, after a protracted battle with cancer. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her only son, Patrick Ra'Shad Price, (Houston, TX); her mother, Melia Joy Stagg & father, J. L.
