Carrie Ann Hunt, age 64, peacefully passed away in her sleep on March 14, 2022. Carrie was born November 3, 1957 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Rowley and Jeanette Hymel. Carrie grew up in Louisiana before moving to Tripoli, Libya, and then to Houston where she met and married Randal Warren Hunt. Together, Carrie and Randy raised two sons, Craig Alan Hunt and Kevin Michael Hunt, and was a proud grandmother of Aidan Randal Hunt. Carrie had a love for baseball, spending many nights in the stands cheering on her sons and grandson. She also never missed watching her Astros, Rockets and Texans. In addition to sports, Carrie loved to cook and loved spending time with her family, relatives and friends. Carrie had a great sense of humor, got a good laugh out of everything, but is most admired for her impeccable strength. She overcame the challenging path God placed before her and took it on in great strives. Carrie was a financial accountant for Linde Corporation where she excelled and was considered family.
Carrie is survived by: her sons Craig and Kevin Hunt, grandson Aidan Hunt, mother Jeanette Hymel, sister Patricia Hymel Sitler and her husband Greg, brothers Leonard Hymel and his wife Patricia, and Thomas Hymel. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Abby and Robert Neal, Michael and Ana Hymel, Nicole Sitler, Lauren, Ashley, and Brooke Hymel, father in law Alan Hunt, and wife Kathy Hunt, sister in law Regann Hunt-Royster, and husband David Royster, brother-in-law Nathan Hunt and wife Libbey, niece Linden Hunt, great niece Peyton Neal, and step-niece Stephanie Young.
She is predeceased in death by her husband Randal Hunt and her father Rowley Hymel Jr.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 19, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and service to start immediately after at Memorial Oaks Funeral, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston.
We would also like to thank caretakers Anna Perez Lopez, Karely Lopez Barrera, Maurice McArthur and Trey Neal for their loving care and support for both Carrie and her family.
