She is survived by her husband of forty two years, Michael D. Sims, her son Jason A. Bradsher, Brother, Jerry Arnold, wife Coco, niece Cindy Murray and a host of cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Alletha Arnold.
She was a native Houstonian. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin, and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Houston, and a Master's Degree from Sam Houston State University. She was employed by Klein I.S.D. as an elementary school teacher, Vice Principal, and school Principal. She retired after thirty three years of service.
A memorial service for Carolyn will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
