Carolyn Sue Fleming

On Friday morning December 29th, 2023, Carolyn Sue Fleming left this world and went into eternal rest and peace at the age of 83. Carolyn Sue Bennett-Fleming was born on October 19th, 1940, loved all the beautiful things in life. Since she was younger, she devoted her life to being a Sunday school teacher and always helping at the church in any way she could. If she wasn’t at the church helping, she would be at home doing her oil paintings, sewing, thrifting, fixing her thrifting finds and selling them, making her little post cards she would decorate with ribbons since everything had to always look beautiful. She always enjoyed making sweets, like her divinity and cinnamon rock candy she would make for all of us on Christmas. Or her famous “Trash” she would make us, and we would all take home in baggies. There was nothing more she enjoyed than the holidays and being around her family. Nobody could make a more beautiful Christmas bow than she could. Her bows were always beautiful, she would add little flowers or “pretties” and hot glue them on the presents. Always going above and beyond to make the holidays beautiful and enjoyable for everyone. She always had to make something beautiful out of nothing.

Carolyn was preceded in death by; Gran Gran “George A. Bennett”, Little Grandma “Devena Elizabeth Preuit”, and her husband Ted L. Fleming. Having her four children, grandchildren, and many gran grans. Her children; Paul Benjamin McCreight and partner Brad Lutman, Tammi McCreight, Starla and spouse Mario Palomares, and “Bubba” Billy Hampton McCreight Jr. and Lynn Johnson. Grandchildren and Gran Grans; Paul and Brad have “fur babies” Henley and Lincoln, Tammi McCreight has Wendi Roxanne McCreight and daughter Destiny Suzanne McCreight; Kati Kaye McCreight and daughters M'Kenna Natalia Caporale and Anastasia Brooklyn Caporale. Starla and Mario have Randall S. Beebe; Chance and Chrystin Bakelar and children Brynden Bakelar and Dixie Bakelar; Jenica and Drew Adams and children Lane Adams, Tyler Adams, and Magnolia Adams; Leslie Palomares; Britney and Jose Franco and Children Joel Franco and Leo Franco. “Bubba” Billy Hampton McCreight Jr. and previous wife Kati Klinefelter McCreight has Nick and Samantha McCreight and children Kirra McCreight and Colt McCreight; Kelli Nicole and Mike Miller and children Jameson Miller and Waylon Miller. Carolyn had so many friends and was loved by so many people.

A committal service for Carolyn will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10401 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
