Carol Yvonne Mezghani

Carol Yvonne Woodard Mezghani of Houston Texas went to be with our LORD JESUS CHRIST AND SAVIOR July 30, 2024 at the age of 82 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 28, 1942 in Houston Texas where she grew up and lived her entire earthly life.

She attended Stephen F. Austin. High school & was on the drill team “Scottish Brigade”. She got married at a young age & then had 4 daughters that she raised by herself while always holding a full time job. She was raised as a Christian & knew that Jesus Christ was her Lord & Savior! She had a passion for celebrations and adding an artistic flare to everything she touched. She was the most unique creative intelligent entrepreneurial artist that we have ever known! SHE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED UNTIL WE SEE HER AGAIN! We thank GOD ALMIGHTY FOR CHOOSING HER FOR OUR MOTHER!

She is preceded in death by her husband Habib Mezghani, father Dewey Woodard SR., mother Euna Woodard, sister Faye Shirlene Blaylock & husband Robert Blaylock, niece Nicole Woodard.

She is survived by her daughters: Terry Land, Renee Mottu, Tammy Land, Pamela Wyly & husband Scott Wyly, grandchildren, Christopher Hernandez, Joel Hernandez, Michael Grant II, Melissa Ritchie & husband Travis Richie, Mark Oliver, great grandchildren Emily , Ethan , Elyssa Jones and Micah Bradford, brother Dewey Woodard Jr. & wife Char Woodard Nieces Dr.Sheryl Burre & husband Steve Burre , Tiffany Corbello & husband Dennis Corbello, Michele Giblin & husband , Lauren Woodard Smith & husband James Smith, Jennifer Woodard.

The family would like to thank Tee, Rosa, Ina, Red & La Kritisha (her caregivers at The Medical Resort), for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life. A visitation for Carol will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023 and a reception will follow at a place to be determined.
