Miss Carol Ann Kerr

Carol Ann Kerr, a resident of Houston, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on September 21, 1942, to John and Mary Soos in Canton, Ohio, Carol Ann grew up in Texas, where her love for animals and entrepreneurial spirit flourished. The Soos family migrated from Hungary in 1907.

She began her career at Anheuser-Busch and later ventured into property leasing, showcasing her determined and enterprising nature. A resilient Hungarian woman, Carol Ann worked tirelessly to support her family, embodying a "go-to" attitude and a commitment to excellence in everything she did.

Carol Ann's compassionate nature was evident in her willingness to help anyone in need, coupled with her candid and honest communication style. She was an active member of a bowling league that traveled to Las Vegas for tournaments, and she also ran the Houston Chevron Marathon, organized senior diamond tour trips, and enjoyed the art of cooking.

She is survived by her brother, John Soos, and her two children, daughter Debbie (and husband Bill) and son Dustin, as well as her cherished grandchildren Kristin and Michael. Carol Ann will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

A visitation for Carol will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079. A committal will occur Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
