Carmon R. McAdams went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2017. He was born on August 29, 1933 to parents Clarence and Maggie McAdams. Carmon was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend that will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Ramona Russell McAdams; daughter Jodi McAdams; brother Irby McAdams; his loved cat Miss GiGi and a host of friends. Carmon is preceded by his son Russell Keith McAdams.
Carmon served in the U.S. Army; he also was a lifetime member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church where he served as the church Treasurer for many years. He received his Auctioneering license and was an active Auctioneer. Carmon retired after 25 years of service as a truck driver for Montgomery Ward and after retiring he then drove trucks for Pat Salmon & Son from 1985 to 2001 to finally retire and spend time with his beloved family that he so loving cherished.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed with a burial in Brookside Memorial Park.
