Carmen Cantu Lott

Carmen was born to Emilio Garza Cantu and Felicita Perez Cantu, January 6, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Luther Burbank High School in 1967 and received a Degree from the University of Clear Lake in 2000. She married Bobbie Gene Lott in 1993, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised 6 children.

Carmen is survived by: John Arthur Southerland, Stephanie Renee Martinez ( Erick .A. Martinez), Step Children: Daryl Lott ( Becky Lott) Cynthia Lott, and Duayn Lott. Adopted child : Robin Scott. Grandchildren : Aieliaria Abarca and Herman Sanchez (son) Jared Sanchez. Amelia Martinez And Louis Luna (son) Lorenzo Luna, Nicole Martinez and Ricardo Solis, Makenzie Martinez, Erick Martinez Jr. She also leaves to cherish her siblings Emilio Cantu ,(Janie Scallon) Felicitas Cantu Jimenez ( Osbaldo Jimenez) , Alicia Cantu Whitaker, Arturo Cantu (Rose Cantu Deceased) Elena Cantu Castillo (George Castillo), and numerous nieces/nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bobbie Gene Lott, daughter Christi Ann Abarca , parents Emilio Garza Cantu and Felicita Perez Cantu, and step daughter Tara Lott.

Carmen Lott worked as a Special Education Teacher for Westbury for 8 years. She enjoyed taking walks at the park, feeding ducks, going out to eat, dancing, singing and gardening. She loved her pet dogs and cat, going to church, being with loved ones, and playing with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was also actively involved in Saint Luke's Widow Group , Hugs. She went out to eat once a month.

Services are scheduled for a visitation April 27th 2023 from 5-9pm in the colonial chapel & a funeral mass April 28th 2023 at St Luke Evangelist Catholic Church at 11AM. A reception will follow at Forest Park Lawndale from 2pm to 4pm. The family would also like to thank all the family and friends who have supported us through this rough time. Thank you and God Bless.
