Born in El Salvador on August 16, 1959, Carlos immigrated to the United States at a young age. While living in Florida, he met Narciza Montero in the summer of 1986 through mutual friends. Eventually, he and Narciza moved to Houston, TX, married, and had their first child, Charlie A. Machado, in July of 1988. This was followed by their second child, Jeanette Machado, in February of 1993 and finally by their third child, Jose I. Machado, in 2001.
During his life, he was a serious man that was somehow mischievous and loved to laugh. He received a degree after completing high school in El Salvador and held having an education to high importance. After he immigrated to the United States, he worked in various types of jobs and eventually worked for Hilton hotels. While in Texas, he worked at Marek Brother's as a construction worker, a job he greatly enjoyed and took pride in, and was respected among his coworkers and superiors. As a construction worker, he helped in various projects, including the University of Houston dormitories and several prestigious hospitals located in the Texas Medical Center, such as St. Luke's and Methodist. Outside of work, music was his lifeblood and he enjoyed playing music at weddings, funerals, and other special occasions. He knew many people in his community and made sure nobody's cup ever ran dry.
He is survived by his wife, Narciza Montero Machado, and his three children, Charlie, Jeanette, and Jose.
