Carl Frederick Wintz

Carl was born in Le Sage, West Virginia on November 28th, 1941 to Walter and Alice Wintz. He grew up on the family farm in Le Sage with his ten brothers and sisters. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. During his three consecutive tours of duty, Carl fought for our country in the Vietnam War.

After spending several years in Florida, he finally settled in Houston, Texas where he met and married Terrie Wintz in 1995. They built a wonderful life together and enjoyed the entrepreneurial spirit of starting their own construction company. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, watching old western movies, NASCAR or playing a friendly game of dominoes with family.

A warrior throughout his life, Carl is survived by many loving individuals including his wife of almost 27 years Terrie Wintz, his stepdaughter Nicole and her husband Will and their three children Marshall, Michael and Hudson of Texas. He is also survived by his youngest brother Bob and his wife Kay of West Virginia, his daughters Brigette and Cathy of Germany, his children Jennifer and Carl Jr, four grandchildren Ashley, Randi, Carrie and Joe, and three great-grand children Aiden, Aubree and Alleah of Florida.

A celebration of life service is scheduled Tuesday, December 27th at 3 PM at Pat A. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018.
