He is survived by brothers, Hubert Hagg of Houston and Micky Hagg and wife, Minnie of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is also survived by his children; Charlotte Harper, Bob Hagg and wife, Lana, and Lea Ann Gardner and husband, Gary; step-son, Richard Smith and wife, Kay, and by special friend, care taker, and “almost daughter”, Dawn Rayner. Carl also leaves behind grandchildren, Chris Provence and wife, Amber, Lisa Chery and husband, Scott, Katrina Hagg, Frank Hagg and wife, Denise, Amanda Osgood and husband, Michael, Bethany Warner and husband, Jacob, Weston Smith and wife, Jennifer, Kristen Smith, and Justin Smith and wife, Leslie. He has 6 great-grandchildren, Savannah and Conner Cherry, Liam Provence, Emilia and Frankie Hagg, Jacson Warner, and baby brother due any day! He has many beloved nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hagg and son, Terry Donald Hagg.
Carl Hagg is a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the military in 1966. Carl worked many years as a postal carrier in Cupertino, California. He later moved to Houston where he worked, and retired from the Texas Highway Department.
Carl loved crossword puzzles, reading, and spending time at the beach. He loved visiting with his children and grand children.
Visitation will be Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home, where the Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Rick Smith will be officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories, Houston, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Smith, Kristen Smith, Weston Smith, Chris Provence, Frank Hagg, Michael Osgood, Jacob Warner, and Jack Bush.
