Calvin Albert Zeringue, Sr., age 90, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Born in Houston, Texas, he was a loving family man who graduated from Jefferson Davis High, served with the Navy, and retired from Tenneco. He was a long time member of St. Edward Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Zeringue, Sr. and Ethel Surgi Zeringue; brother, Wallace Zeringue, Jr.; sister, Norma Telotta; and infant brother, David. Survived by wife, Nancy Costa Zeringue; sons, Calvin Zeringue, Jr. and wife Sharon and Daryl Zeringue and wife Kelly; daughters, Charlotte Barosh and husband Carl, Janice Wagner, and Judy Markowski and husband Carl; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 nieces; and 2 nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 7, 2017 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 2601 Spring Stuebner Rd., Spring, Texas 77389. Rite of Committal will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Kenneth Markowski, Kevin Markowksi, Tyler Zeringue, Michael Wagner, Jr., Derek Barosh, and Matthew Brawley. Honorary Pallbearers: John Green, Mark Zeringue, David Marino and Kyle Ervin. He touched the lives of many; he will be remembered for his unassuming nature, unconditional love, and unwavering devotion to his family and our God.
