It is with a heavy heart that I send my deepest and sincerest condolences to family and friends of Calvin Eason. I know it's been almost a year, but I simply could not find the words to express my deepest sympathy. When I first learned of his passing,I couldn't quite bring myself to look at the picture that went along with the announcement. I met him on the campus of University of Houston where we had a couple of classes together.  He was not the typical jock as most might have thought.  He was soft spoken, witty and well-versed in literature and history.  He was always the consummate gentleman to me.  We lost touch when he began playing professional football, but he will always hold a special place in my heart.  Rest in peace my dear friend.

It seems like just yesterday I was sitting in your truck laughing and talking to you. You just don't know how I think of you everyday and cry but I know you are in a better place . No more suffering .You are such a beautiful person now you are in a beautiful place.Just miss u.RIP

Well Calvin, Weedie told me you were still around and before I could get your number from him you were gone. I have thought of you often. Remembering all the laughs we share at U of H. Back when life was new and so sweet. I'm glad I got to know a guy like you. I know you are among the Angels now. RIP

Throughout the years I thought of you often. Always looking for you just to say hi. And honestly I missed you. Hoping one day I would see you again. That was never meant to be. R I P my old love.

Dear Friends and Family of Calvin - I attended UH with Calvin, then was on the Gamblers staff a few years later and enjoyed getting reacquainted with him. What a nice man and excellent athlete!
There are many Coogs in Heaven and I know they welcomed him with open arms.

I am sadden of this news - found out today. Calvin "EASY" Eason making the NFL was the dreams and prays of all the young men on Flossie Mae - Othello Street.  Our dreams came through with him.  Today, he is still my idol. The Eason Family and Friends - I share your hurt.  As well as the joy for being a part of his life.  I will always remember our childhood times.  God Bless the family.
