Bryce Brandon Cook was born September 9th, 1998 in New Orleans, LA to Gilda Faye Cook and Bryan Davis. Bryce accepted Christ into his life at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Dr. Warren Taylor at the First Evangelist Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans. As result of Hurricane Katrina, Bryce and his family relocated to Houston, TX. He later became a member of the First New Hope Bible Church under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth R. Washington. Bryce was a member of the youth choir, usher board as well as the Drama Club. Bryce attended Clark Primary and Intermediate School, Wells Middle and was a 2017 graduate of Westfield High School. He enjoyed playing football and began playing at the age of 7. Because of his hard work, passion, determination and love for football he was awarded a scholarship to Trinity Valley College in Athens, TX with plans to transfer to Texas A&M. Bryce’s dream and goal was to become a member of the NFL. Bryce was known by many names. His teachers, coaches and classmates knew him as Bryce. To his family and close friends, he was known as Brandon. His mother, sisters and brother affectionately called him “the boy” On Monday October 9th, 2017 Bryce was called home by God and traded his helmet for a crown. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Isaac Cook, John and Gloria Davis; sister, Qunita Adams and Aunt, Denise Vermall. Left to forever cherish his memory are: His parents Faye Cook and Bryan Davis; his siblings, Kyotta, Kevin and Briona Cook, Bryan, Ryndell and John Adams; his grandmother, Florence O. Cook; aunts, Priscilla Harlan, Brynesha Cook and Stephanie Davis(Danny); uncles, Matthew Teague, Gregory Cook, Chris , Mark and Keith Davis; Beloved Companion, Tiana Dennis; Godmother, Raynotte Rideau; God sister Sasha Rideau; family friend, Sharon Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, great aunts and uncles, cousins friends and the members of First New Hope Bible Church.
