Brent David Sergent

Brent was born in Santa Monica, California on March 12th, 1942 where in middle school he fell in love with Mary Ann and the two began their 61 year adventure through this beautiful life.

In 1972, the family moved to Houston, where after a long career, Brent retired from Nestle Foods at the age of 52. He enjoyed time with his family, playing golf, fishing, and traveling with Mary Ann and their many friends. Brent was passionate about helping sheltered animals and his dogs all found a home of love. Known for his love of music, Brent’s play list included everything from Pavarotti and John Lee Hooker to the Stones.

Brent is survived by his wife, Mary Ann and his daughter, Kim Mauldin and husband Scott of Carrollton, Texas; his son Chris Sergent and wife Kanda of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Brent Sergent, Kate Mauldin, Joe Mauldin, and Vince Sergent; and great grandchildren, Ellison Lopez and Holden Sergent.

The family invites you to celebrate Brent’s life at a visitation to be held on Sunday, July 24th, from 2-5 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.
