Brenda Joyce Thomas

Brenda Joyce Thomas, 67, entered into eternal rest on December 24, 2014. She was known for her Evangelist Ministry and reaching those in need of the Savior, Jesus Christ. She always loved, treated everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of their status, no one was a stranger to her. She was very giving and would sacrifice for others. One of her favorite expressions of love was baking for family members and friends, everyone remembers her tasty "Sock-it-to-me" Cakes and many desserts. She served her church family at New Beginning Church in Houston and was faithful for many years. During her illness she would make the effort to attend her community's church, Yehoshua Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. Franklin Callaway, Pastor.

She is survived by her children: LaRhonda Crawford, Jeannie Davis and husband Stanley, Ronald Good, James Ray; grandchildren: Cliffton Thomas, LaQuana Thomas, Joseph Boutte, Kennedi Ray; great-grandchild: Khaddis Johnson; sisters & brothers: James Crawford & wife Linda, Nathaniel Crawford & wife Peggy, LaSandra Fisher & husband Darrell, Fredrick Crawford, Apostle Ronald Crawford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-8PM on Saturday, January 3rd. Funeral service will be held at 1PM on Sunday, January 4th at Brookside. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
