Bobby Ray Sena, 75, passed away July 22, 2022, as a result of a long battle with cancer at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. His family were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was born July 3, 1947, in Napa, Idaho, the son of Jose Reyes Sena Jr. and Alice Lucero Haro.
At 18 years old, he served with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam war. He served two tours from 1969 to 1970. After the war, he married Melinda Pena and they settled in Oxnard, California and later Seabrook, Texas. They celebrated 51 years of marriage in November.
Bobby is survived by his mother Alice Haro; his brothers Silver, Issac, Johnny and David. Sisters Valerie, Lalin, Shela, and Jane. He is also survived by his wife, Melinda Pena Sena, his son Bobby Sena Jr. and his wife, Belinda; grandson Cristian and his youngest son James P. Sena. He also leaves several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
A visitation for Bobby will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 15, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Monday, August 15, 2022 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
