On the afternoon of April 21, 2024, Bobbie Wilson Connevey peacefully slipped away to be with our Lord. She was 99 ½ years old. Born in Abbott, Texas, she was the eldest child of Willie Bob and Louella Wilson. She had been currently residing at La Trevia Kersee’s Assisted Living Services while being assisted by Heart-to-Heart Hospice and Chaplain Krist who came to visit her. She received excellent care there from the many caring staff members.
Trained to be a secretary, she worked at The Texas Highway Department during the 1960’s and through the 1980’s. She resided in Houston and then settled in Pasadena for 30 years with her husband Lawrence Hale Connevey. She attended The Shaw Street Church of Christ and The Burke Road Church of Christ. She also sold Luziere Cosmetics part-time. They retired to Sam Houston Lake Estates in Cleveland, Texas where she enjoyed wildlife while living in the country. Her mother, Louella Bearden Wilson stayed with them until her death in 1990. She reared 4 children, Layne, Nancy, Bob and Peggy Connevey. After the death of her husband, she lived with her daughter Nancy Davis in Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her son Layne Hale Connevey who was killed in Vietnam September 4, 1969. Her husband Lawrence Hale Connevey also preceded her in death on January 25, 1999. She is survived by 3 of her children: Nancy Elaine Davis, Bob Lawrence Connevey and Sharlene, and Peggy Morris Hudson and Glenn. 4 Grandchildren: Brandy Elaine Kennedy and Kenny, Kerry Layne Connevey and Yvette, Tammy Wyatt Cubbage and Mike, and Warren Ray Morris. 6 Great-grandchildren: Glory Yvette Connevey and Samuel Layne Connevey, Cody Wayne Wyatt and Kayla Mae Wyatt, Lilly Grace Kennedy and Katie Layne Kennedy. Nephews: William Earle Connevey and Paul David Connevey and their spouses and children.
