Mr. Park was born on November 20, 1932 in Haenam-gun Jeollanam-do to Yi Bong Park and Kang Shim Kim. He spent his childhood years up until 15 living in Japan before returning to South Korea. He graduated from Kookmin University with a Degree in English and later served as an employee for the US Army stationed in South Korea. In 1958, he married his wife and soon later had 3 loving kids of his own - 1 daughter and 2 sons. By 1979, he immigrated his family to the United States to provide the opportunity of living the American Dream. He attended the Korean Presbyterian Church of Houston and was an avid member holding office as a respectable Ordained Deacon. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was described as a friend to all.
Mr Bob S. Park was preceded in death by his Daughter, Sonya Sunja Kim; Son, James Chulmin Park; Son-in-law, Peter Yong Kim; and Grandson, Timothy Dae Kim. He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Ok Hee Park; Sister, Geum Shim Park; Daughter, Sonya Sunja Kim and Husband Peter Yong Kim; Son, James Chulmin Park and Wife JungHee Park; Daughter-in-law, Jeanne Jihee Park; Grandchildren, Timothy Dae Kim, Helen Hyejin Kim, Demi Lee Park, and Taylor Jihyo Park; and a host of other cousins, nephews, family and friends.
Bob was an honorable Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The Park family would like to give a special thanks to the Houston Hospice and staff who took great care of him in his final days of life.
Visitation and funeral service will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday November 16, 2022 in the chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
A graveyard service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday November 17th, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
