Billy attended the University of Houston and worked as a mapper and supervising draftsman for over forty years in the oil and gas industry. He also worked with Dick Doss and the Harris County Commissioners Office to inspect every single skylight that made up the roof of the Houston Astrodome during its initial construction. Billy was also a Salvation Army bell ringer. He enjoyed many hobbies, some of which included birdwatching, gardening and the Houston Astros.
Billy’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Silverado Hospice and to the Community of Hope Church for their special care.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Robert, Ronald and Marvin Schindler. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Schindler; his children, Scott Schindler, Susan Schindler and Marilyn Carren; his grandchildren, Kevin, Carli, Jasmine, Max and Savannah; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Honoring and serving as pallbearers are Scott Schindler, Gene Schindler, Robert Schindler, Kevin Noel, David Bennet Carren and Jerry Auippa.
