Billy was born September 22, 1938 in Houston, TX to the parents of Pauline Lucherk and Jake Butler. He graduated from Waller High School in 1957. He served our country in the United States Army in Germany. He married Roseadale Butler September 5, 1959. They had 4 beautiful children. He was a member of the Cy-Fair Fire Department. He also loved hunting and fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren as well as his great grandchildren. He was an avid gardener and loved spending time outside with his plants as well as playing poker, and dominos with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Pauline Schiel, father Jake Butler and stepfather Pete Schiel, brothers Jake Butler Jr., Robert Butler, sister Helen Butler. He is survived by his wife Roseadale Butler, children Sylvia Scott, Billy Joe Butler Jr. wife Tracy Butler, Kim Butler, Randy Butler and wife Kelli Butler. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ashley Bishop and husband Nickolas Bishop, Justin Scott and wife Christina, Chad Scott and Jamie Bradshaw, Patrick Butler, Cory Scott, Cole Butler and Carli Butler, and great grandchildren Emma Scott, Penelope Bishop, Colt Raney and Haiden Dunn. In addition he is survived by his sister Betty Borel.
Billy Butler was a husband, father, sibling, grandfather and friend to many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
