Beverly Ann Hatchett a believer in Christ entered eternal rest on December 1, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Northeast. She fulfilled her purpose in life of being a servant of the Lord and leaving his and her lasting impression on each person she met.
On January 14, 1960, Beverly Ann Latson was born in Shreveport, Louisiana at Confederate Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Katie Mae Latson and Hamp Hines, Jr.
She attended grade school at Second Ward High School in Gloster, Louisiana. The family moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where she attend Werner Park Elementary School. Later the family moved to Houston, Texas where she attended Key Junior High and Booker T Washington High School. She graduated from Dental School with a Dental Assistant Certification. She worked for the City of Houston, JP Morgan Chase, and Glazier Foods. Her final position was with Avatar Home Healthcare Agency.
She married Freddy Simpson at an early age; to this union two children were born: La’Kesha Kaye Latson Pitts and Jamail Deshun Latson Sr.
In 1995 Beverly met the love of her life Kenny Hatchett Sr. they were married March 27, 1998 and shared 25 lovely years together.
She believed in God and was baptized at Faltine Baptist Church in Gloster, La. She was a dedicated member of Greater First Baptist Church, Yale Street Baptist Church, Brookhollow Baptist Church, and St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. At the time of her homegoing she was a faithful member of St. Beulah Missionary Baptist Church of Montgomery, Texas where she served on the Deaconess, Usher Boards and marriage ministries. She performed all her deaconess duties so they would be pleasing in the sight of the Lord.
She enjoyed spending time with family, helping others, serving in the church, and decorating. She will be remembered for her love of God and others.
She leaves to mourn her husband-Kenny Hatchett Sr., Children-La’Kesha Pitts (Terrill), Jamail Latson Sr. (Marquita), Keisha Johnson, Kenny Hatchett, Jr., and Jonathan Hatchett. Grandchildren, Mykeisha Johnson, Kenny Hatchett III, Aniyah Ross, Jamail Latson Jr., Quintin Ross, Zyri Haywood, Jimma Hatchett, and Xalen Tate. Siblings-Shirley Sawyer, Bobby Latson (Christine), Kathy Hines, Dorothy Douglas (Johnny), Darlene Powell (Maukeba), Larry Hines, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousin, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, Grandfather Evans Latson, Terrill Pitts (son-in-law), and Keith Johnson (son).
