Beulah Orchard Lackner of Houston, died peacefully at her home on the 22nd of April 2015 at the age of 107. She was born the 8th of February 1908 in Novelty, Missouri to Susan Alice and William Robert Orchard.
She was a communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church. Beulah also belonged to Lady Washington Chapter of the DAR, the Society of Mayflower Descendants, Magna Charta Dames, Descendants of Knights of the Most Noble Order of the Garter and the Delphian Past Presidents Club. She was bright, energetic, witty and she loved to dance.
Beulah is survived by a daughter, Linda Lackner Wheeler of Wimberley, Texas; two grandchildren, Karen Elizabeth Wheeler of Georgetown, Texas and Carson Lalepa Wheeler of Blanco, Texas; and a nephew, Paul Orchard and his wife, Nancy and their son, Jonathan of Lake Jackson, Texas.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 8th of May at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive, in Houston. The memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 9th of May in the Jasek Chapel at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons. Prior to the memorial service, friends are cordially invited to the interment service that is to be conducted at nine o’clock in the morning at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Immediately following the memorial service, a reception will be held at Kiran’s Restaurant, 4100 Westheimer Road.
