Betty Grace Swetnam

Betty married Lloyd T. Swetnam, Jr. on September 1, 1950 and was married for 50 years. She was a full-time homemaker and raised her three sons. After her sons were grown, Betty went to work for Wyatt Field Services as an executive secretary and retired from there after 15 years. Betty and Lloyd enjoyed numerous trips together. The love of her life was the Lord and her family. Betty was an active, long standing member of Airline United Methodist Church and served in many areas of ministry.

Betty was preceded in death by: Parents: William and Effie Garman; Brothers: Lawton Ford and Henry Ford; Husband: Lloyd T. Swetnam, Jr.

She is survived by: Sons: Roger and wife Nelda, Brian and wife Donna, Scott and wife Pam; Grandchildren: Christopher Swetnam , Sarah and husband Craig Ellisor, David and wife Shelby Swetnam, Richard Solise, April and husband Jake Wallace, Amy Swetnam, Sydney and husband Josh Dunlap, Sylvia and husband Jon Keller, Sheryl and husband Stephen Reese; Great-grandchildren: Emerie, C.J., Landon, Jacob, Logan, Caleb, Russell, Eliana, Luke, Trent, and one on the way.

The family would also like to acknowledge and express gratitude for the excellent care and love given to our Mom by her caregivers: Nancy Lassiter, Doris Holtonz, Cindy Lewis, Lyndal Stewart, Brittany McCool and Shirley Downing.

Visitation will be Monday, November 24, 2014 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home with burial following at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
