Betty Jo Norris, 89, passed into eternal rest on March 22, 2021. She was born December 8, 1931 in Henderson, Texas and graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Houston. Betty Jo started out as a housewife, then a clerical worker, followed by co-owner then Owner of Bilden Plastics Company in Houston, until her retirement. Little York Baptist Church was her church home. Flower gardening, collecting family photos, and watching golf on TV were her passions.
Betty Jo was preceded in death by her husband Royce Wayne Norris, step-son Alan Norris, grandson Jody Hudson, and brother Levi Lincoln (Mac) McKay. Left to cherish her memories are daughters Paula Payne, Pam Hoppas, step-daughter Glenda Souliere, sons Mack Hudson, Gary Joe Hudson and step-son Lonnie Norris, 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to and exceptional caregiver, "Rolanda Edmond." She became a big part of Betty's life.
Services for Betty Jo will be at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning promptly at 2:00 p.m. and interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park and Cemetery.
