Betty Kathryn Luehr

Betty was born in Galveston TX on October 30th, 1926 to Edward Frank & Naomi Slay. She retired from Houston Independent School District after many years of service. She was a long time member of Willow Meadows Baptist Church as well as The Jubilee Banjo Band.

She was preceded in death by husband Louis F. Luehr and husband Charles T McCarver, sister Marietta Terence, brother Jack Allen, Niece Mary Jean Ray & Son James R Luehr.

She is survived by Son, Robert L Luehr and wife Karen, Daughter in Law Jill Luehr, 6 grandchildren & Spouses, Kim & Rick Soeder, Jason & Tanya Minar, Billy Luehr, Jesse & Michelle Luehr, Krissi & Jason Henson, Randy & Laura Luehr. 12 Great Grandchildren Ryan, Drew, Logan, Bryson, Jessica, Mercedes, Xavier, Anicita, Cameron, Kendyl, Aubrey & Kaylee. As well as many step children & step grandchildren of Charles McCarver.

The family will receive friends from 12PM to 1PM on Monday, August 28th at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral home in In the Grand Chapel on Monday, August 28th at 1PM. With Graveside service to promptly follow at The Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 2PM.
