Betty was born on October 29, 1952 to Betty Hogan and Herbert Hogan in the city of Houston. After Betty graduated from Booker T. Washington in 1972, she pursued a career in the medical field at Memorial Hermann Southwest in Houston, TX for 25 years.
Betty was predeceased in death by Betty Hogan (mother) Brenda Joyce Hogan (sister) Carrie Lee Strange-Turner(sister) and Leonard King Hogan “Ricky” (brother) .
She is survived by two daughters Temeka Hogan-Bell (Randall) LaShonda Gertman- Doze (Lester); six loving grandchildren; Ta’Lour Doze, Jaylen Doze, Ba’Leigh Doze, Lester Doze, Madelynn Doze, Kennedy Doze and great grandson, Noah Doze; Along with six caring sisters and brothers, Linda Moore (I.J. Moore), Arnolia Scott, Herbert Jean Taylor (Allen Taylor Sr.), Kenneth Hogan (Juanita Hogan) and Carol Ann Grim (Jean Grim); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
