Betty Joe Cooper, age 85, of Orangefield, Texas, passed away March 12, 2021. She was born in Houston, Texas on January 5, 1936. Betty graduated from Smiley High School in 1955. She was married to Bobby Cooper, Sr. for 46 years. She loved fishing, deer hunting, playing Bingo and scratching off Lottery tickets.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Cooper, Sr.; son, Bennie Cooper; mother, Mattie Crenshaw; father, Joe Crenshaw; sister, Shirley Singletary and grandson, Adam Potts.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Cooper, Jr. and wife Toni; daughter, Beverly LeBlanc and husband Gerald; grandchildren, Brandy Cooper, Brody Cooper and wife Harlie; great-grandchildren, Brandon Cooper, Alauna Cooper, Tyler Harrison, Blayne Berton and Lakota Cooper; niece Sheryl Hartmann; and many other nieces and nephews; along with many other special friends and cousins.
The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
