Betty Joe Childers, born November 4, 1928 to Webb and Mildred Neal in Brandon, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2011 in Houston, Texas. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Maurice Childers. She is survived by daughters, Jackie Milkovisch and husband, Guy, and Lisa Flores and husband, Daniel; son, Thomas Childers and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Randy Milkovisch and wife, Jill, and Shelby and Eric Flores; great-grandchildren, Ava and Macy Milkovisch; sister, Marilyn Shelton and husband, Joe; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories, Houston, Texas.
