Bessie Mae Mitchell was born to Warren and Lillie Allison-Thompson on March 2, 1926 in Chapel Hill, Texas. Bessie Mitchell confessed Christ at an early age. She was a member at Ward Chapel Church and later became a committed, faithful member of Yorkdale Missionary Baptist Church which is currently under the leadership of Rev. Brian Peavy. On Sunday, June 9, 2019, the Lord welcomed Bessie Mae Mitchell to her eternal home. She was preceded in death by her son, Sylvester Mitchell; siblings, Robert Lee Thompson and Willie Mae Johnson. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Lillie Mae Mitchell, Theresa Williams, Johnnie Mae Richards, Homer Mitchell, Eula Mae Newman (Kenny), Rosie Lee Bryant, Rosetta Patterson, Ruthie Lee Mitchell and Louise Ella Washington (Lee). Sister Bessie Mae Mitchell is also survived by a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
