Bertha Vargas, age 82, of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. She was born in Gómez Palacios, Durango, to Petra Murua and Maximiliano Martinez. She was the youngest of six siblings. She was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother or Mamá Bertha.
She is proceeded by her husband of 44 years Octaviano, her daughters Martha, Maria De Jesus and husband Alejandro Gaytan, and son José Cruz “Chito” and wife Guadalupe “Luisa” Vargas. Grandsons Ricardito Leija, Jesus “Chuyito” Vargas, and Mario Alberto Rosales.
She is survived by her children Octaviano and wife Haydee Vargas, Bertha Alicia “Betty” and William, Petra and husband Antonio Garcia, Juan Alberto and wife Gabby Vargas, Raul Vargas.
Also survived by her grandchildren; Brisa, Laura, Ana, Bella, Pedro, Irasema, José Daniel, Gaby, Juan, Lilibeth, Liliana, Jonathan, Kristian, Andrea, Beatriz, Bibi, Selena, Jerry, Mayra “Eli”, Brayant, Edwin, and Fernanda. And numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
