The Blessed Life of Sister Bertha Faye Arnwine On May 1, 1941 a beautiful bouncing baby girl was born to A. C. and Lillie Wilson in Vernon, Texas. She was their first child and they named her Bertha Faye. Bertha confessed Christ at an early age. She attended and graduated from Kashmere Garden High School in Houston, Texas and attended college to further her education. Bertha wore many hats in life; she was a home interior specialist for over 15 years, secretary, notary as well as many other trades. Bertha met and married Eddie Lee Arnwine and together they raised three children. She later married John B. Lewis, no children were born to this union. Bertha was a member and usher at Fontaine First Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend John Brown. She attended church regularly until her health failed. She then attended as often as she could. Bertha made the transition to her other side October 11, 2014. She is preceded in death by both parents, A. C. and Lillie Wilson and a daughter Lillian Arnwine. Bertha leaves to cherish her memories; son Richard (Caroln) Arnwine of Houston, Texas; daughter Julia Arnwine of Humble, Texas; brother A. C. (Francine) Wilson; sisters, Betty Jean (Will) Brooks and Linda Kay (Jack) Bagley all of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Jante Arnwine, Stephen Langley, Chanson Langley, Chris Ranier, Dorienda Montez, Charvia Peterson, Chertrise Arnwine and Richard Arnwine, Jr.; great grandchildren Israel Arnwine, Taveon Langley, Anaya Langley, Quincy Adam, Keyera Adam, Cameron Langley, Amaria Langley, Chavone Langley, Alanah Peterson, Arhynae Arnwine, Ariyanna Langley and a special friend for many years Ola Fay Nichols and a host of relatives and friends.
