Bertha is survived by her son Rudy Elizondo Sr.; son Alfonso Elizondo Jr. (Geneva); daughter Irasema E. Fowler (Tony Fincher); daughter Rose Benavidez (James White); , grandson Rudy Elizondo Jr., grandson Mark Anthony Elizondo, grandson Christopher Cantu, granddaughter Alexis Elizondo, granddaughter Sabrina Elizondo, grandson George Elizondo, grandson Anthony Elizondo, grandson James E. Fowler Jr., granddaughter Bridgette L. Fowler, great granddaughter Lissette Silva, great granddaughter Brianna Espinoza, great granddaughter Chardonnay Fowler, great grandson John Elizondo, great grandson James Fowler III, great granddaughter Sumaya Fowler and her great grandson Deon Fowler.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Alfonso G. Elizondo; son George Elizondo; mother Maria De Leon and father Fortunato Recio; brother Enrique Recio and brother Ramiro Recio; grandson George Elizondo, granddaughter Sandi Elizondo, and grandson John Elizondo.

A visitation for Bertha will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A rosary service will occur Monday, November 8, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Chapel of Angels at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
