1936-2018
Born September 10, 1936 to Henry Hejl and Mary Hattie Zgabay in Dime Box, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 29, 2018 while living in Spring, Texas at the age of 81.
She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Her family survived to mourn her passing are two sons Randy Paul Hajek of Conroe, Texas and Kenneth Ray Hajek of Richmond Texas. Stepdaughter Carolyn Allen of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Four grandchildren Randy Wayne Hajek, Steven Paul Hajek, Amanda Kaylynn Ruggieri and Christopher Allen. She was also blessed with 7 great grandchildren Hayley, Troy, Kylie, Preston, Landon, Caden and Berlyn. Also left behind to mourn are brother Edward Hejl and nephew Michael Hejl. Great nieces and nephews Stevie, Jordan, Austin, and Michaela.
She will be missed very much by them and numerous other relatives and friends. Bernice loved her family and enjoyed being with them. She was always ready for a family gathering! She enjoyed church, playing bingo, crafts and watching movies.
She was preceded in death by parents Henry and Mary Hejl, her son Edward Joseph Hajek, daughter Joann Theresa Hajek and niece Lynda Hejl Garza.
Viewing and funeral services will begin Saturday August 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Advantage Funeral Home located at 7010 Chetwood Drive, Houston, Texas 77081. Graveside service time will be 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetary located at 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, Texas 77055. For further assistance you may call 713-662-2030.
