Bernice was born on December 18, 1932 to Lucian and Louise Baronette in Welsh, LA.
Bernice was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church where she worked and served faithfully for over 50 years. She loved her family and always welcomed anyone. She enjoyed cooking, decorating cakes, sewing, and being with her sisters and family.
Bernice is preceded in death by her husband, Will Cox, and son, Michael Cox; sisters, Annie Guidey, Judy Davison, Mable Mayeux, Agnes Arceneaux, Mary Helpert, and Laura Baronette.
She is survived by one brother, LJ Baronette of Shreveport, Louisiana, son, Stephen (Laurice) Cox of Austin, Texas son Darryl (Ginny) Cox of Katy, Texas; daughter, Denise (Al) Young of Magnolia, Texas daughter-in-law Carla Cox of Richmond, Texas, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1:00 pm. The Celebration of a Life Well Lived will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, Texas 77077. The Committal of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 3:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
