Bernard Louis Danna, age 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, the 2nd of January 2016. A native Houstonian, he was born the 21st of July 1927 to Louis V. Danna and Mary Lorino. He married the love of his life, Lucille Bonno, in 1950. He was a parishioner of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister–in-law Vincent and Virginia Danna. He is survived by his four sons and their wives, Dr. Bernard Danna and Kathy, C. J. Danna and Anna, Mark Danna and Fran, and Gary Danna and Molly; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Patrick Cook, ICU nurses at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital and special caregiver, Bonita Duplechain.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Benny’s grandsons.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 5th of January in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. An evening prayer vigil will be conducted at seven o’clock, followed by a rosary recited by Deacon Louis Provenzano.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 6th of January, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston, where Msgr. Frank H. Rossi is to officiate.
The family will gather for a private burial at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
