Bennie Rodriguez Jr., 74, son of Bennie and Martha Rodriguez, was born on July 19, 1946 in Houston, Texas. He was called by our Heavenly Father to receive his gift of eternal salvation on January 6, 2021.
On Valentine’s Day 1967, he married his forever love Cecilia. They raised two beautiful daughters Vivian and Veronica. Bennie was a great father figure, not only to his two daughters, but to many others who looked up to him respectfully. He believed in working hard. He was a dedicated retiree of Harris County Precinct One - Parks and Recreation for 19 years.
Bennie, from a very young age, always had a passion for every genre of music. He was a homebody that you would find sitting on the front porch listening to music. He had a love for his family and a passion for barbecuing. Bennie loved for everyone to stop by for a visit and have a social drink. His positive energy, charisma, and ability to make everyone in the room laugh, ensured that he had many friends and made him an absolute joy to be around. Bennie will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, sister Virginia and brother Arthur. He is survived by his wife Cecilia and his children Vivian (Robert) Mendoza, Veronica (Mario) Salazar; Grandchildren Selena (Rey), Victoria, Vanessa (Tim) and Nicholas; Great grandchildren Robert-Anthony, Naylah and Izel; Siblings Teresa (Genaro), Carmen (Ramon), Lydia (Clarence), Adam (Dolores) and Little Brother Danny (Monica) and numerous family and friends.
