Ms. Bennie Marie Grizzaffi, 61, of Houston, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 following a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benny and Marie Grizzaffi and a nephew, Michael Joseph Grizzaffi, Jr. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Theresa Delbasty and late husband, Irvin Delbasty, Michael Grizzaffi and wife Carolyn, Mark Grizzaffi and Janice Grizzaffi; one nephew, Jason Thorne and wife Elizabeth; nieces and nephews, Madison, Avery and Wesley Thorne Mason and Cassie Grizzaffi; godmother, Josephine Marin; her beloved dog, Sassie and other relatives and friends left to cherish fond memories. . A big thank you to her devoted caregiver, Dianne Martelly.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 5-8 o'clock in the evening at Pat H. Foley & Company. Graveside service in celebration of Bennie's life will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 3502 N. Main St., Houston, TX 77009 where she will be laid to rest. Frank Paul Grizzaffi, Louis Gonzales, Frank Joseph Grizzaffi, Bobby Gonzalez, Anthony Virgadamo and Ronnie Marino will serve as pallbearers.
