Benedetta Alessandra

Benedetta Alessandra, 91, known to family, friends, and co- workers as "Nita", passed away on January 31, 2017. Born in Waco, Texas on January 29, 1926, graduate of Lamar High School, Class of 1943, worked 40 years for H. J. Heinz Ketchup 57 Varieties and retired in 1984; returned to work part- time at Acosta Sales & Marketing for almost 19 years. Nita was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Lamar High School Alumni Assn. and Cherryhurst Civic Club.

Survived by nieces, Jena Lozano and her husband Gerardo: Jana Campos, husband Glen: nephew Michael McGuire; niece Ruth Langston: God-Daughter Brenda Harris, husband Steve: 8 great nieces and grand nephews; 2 great great - nieces: loving care-taker and friend Barbara Hubbard.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home located at 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas, 77023. Funeral services will be at St. Anne Catholic Church located at 2140 Westheimer, Houston, Texas, on Saturday, February 4, 2017, beginning with a Rosary at 1:30pm and a Funeral Mass at 2:00pm and Interment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery following the Mass.

In lieu of customary remembrances, family requests contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50 Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9929 or charity of one's choice.
