Beatrice Milligan

Beatrice Pryor Milligan passed away peacefully at home in Angleton, Texas on August 12, 2012 with her daughter by her side. She was born July 19, 1912 in Waller County to th elate Eli Pryor and Beulah Gibbs Pryor of Brookshire, Texas. Mrs. Milligan attained her status as a registered nurse from Prairie View Hospital in Prairie View, Texas, a B.S. degree from the University of Texas and a Certification in Public health nursing from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond Virginia. She was then employed by the Texas Department of Health and the Brazoria County Department of Health, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and attended well until her physical health started to decline. Mrs. Milligan was married to late Joseph Milligan and raised 2 children, Michael Joseph and Patricia Milligan. She is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Milligan, of Angleton, a son, Michael Joseph Milligan, of Austin, Texas, a step-daughter, Josephine Milligan-Harrison and family, of bryan, Texas, 3 grandchildren, Xavier Milligan, of Angleton, Texas, Anthony Milligan, of Houston, Texas and Jonathan Chapman, of Grand rapids, Michigan, and 4 great-grandchildren, Isiah Williams-Milligan, Elijah and Kianna Milligan of Angleton, Texas and Tiji Chapman, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, brothers, Johnny Pryor, of Brokkshire, Texas and Freddie Warren, of Los Angeles, CA, and a sister, Gloria Warren, of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by special friends, Mrs. Cherry W. Ward, of Angleton, Texas and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and and friends. She is preceeded in death by one sister, Mildred L. Pryor and one grandson, Byron Joseph Milligan. A wake will be held at Carl Barnes Funeral Home, 746 W. 22nd Street, Houston, Texas from 7pm-9pm. Graveside service will be held at The Mt. Zion Cemetery, Saturday August 18, 2012 at 10:00am, Rt. 1, Brookshire, Texas 77423.
