Beatrice S. Galvan, 98, went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2019 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adan Galvan and daughter, Guadalupe Galvan. Born in Wiergate, Texas, she was the daughter of Ramon and Teresa G Sanchez. She graduated from Sam Houston High School and Lydia’s of Houston Beauty School. She married Adan Galvan in 1942 and shared 60 blessed years together. Beatrice took great pleasure in working at St. Luke’s Hospital with the premature babies for many years.

Beatrice was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and enjoyed sharing the Lord with everyone she met. Beatrice loved being a part of the YMCA, especially their exercise programs along with a variety of activities at The Salvation Army.

Her surviving children are: Jesse Galvan and wife Rose, Theresa Palacios and husband Rowland, Dolores Alvarez and husband George, Rosalinda Cardenas and husband Ralph and Susie Galvan Cones and husband Mark, 13 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren with a numerous amount of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Beatrice Galvan was a loving matriarch of our family and a friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed her independence, lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with her family and friends.

The Viewing / Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 5pm - 8pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Easter Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. The Funeral Service and Burial will also be held at Brookside Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 2:30pm followed by a Reception at Brookside.
