Barbara Jean League, 72, of Sealy, TX, passed away on April 8, 2025, in Sealy, TX.
Barbara was born in Beaumont, TX, to Richard and Mary Steward on April 8, 1953. She graduated from South Houston High School in 1971 and worked for Stewart & Stevenson for 25 years as a secretary.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Richard Steward; mother, Mary Steward; brother, David Steward; and sister, Geraldine Holmes.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Bassett, and son-in-law, Brandon Bassett; her four grandchildren: Adam League, Halee Bassett, Brandon Bassett Jr., and Abigail Bassett. She is also survived by her siblings: Linda Simpson, Tommy Steward, Mike Steward, Mark Steward, and Daniel Steward, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family of Barbara League wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to Acara Hospice and nurses Ashley, Sharon, and Wendy for the compassionate care they provided in her final days.
