Barbara Kathryn Kinder

Barbara K. Kinder, 93, passed away from natural illness on April 28, 2023, at home while living with her grand-daughter. She was born December 26, 1929, in Bucyrus, Ohio, the daughter of Carl F. and Kathryn/Catherine McMahon (Kottyan).

After completing her education, she spent most of her career employed with a major architecture and construction firm in the Houston area, as a Financial Administrator. She enjoyed her career and leisure time traveling with friends and coworkers. Barbara lived in Rosenberg, Tx for over 30 years. She was a devoted member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Young at Heart, and the American Legion Post 271 in Rosenberg, TX. Her favorite pastimes were spent outdoors gardening, feeding the birds, shopping, watching old westerns and the movie Home Alone, drinking hot Starbucks coffee, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Steen Kinder; Siblings, Robert and James McMahon. Survived by her son, David Kinder of Pasadena, TX; sister, Patricia and her husband Hoyt Elrod of Indianapolis, IN; aunt, Irene Clevenger of Richmond, IN; Grand-daughter, Carrie Steen Ancira of Sugar Land, Tx; Great grand-daughters, Courtney Sikel and Kimberly Ancira; Great-great grandchildren, Drake and Skylar Dubroc.
