Barbara McGlockton Iglehart-Scott, mother to Sharon Iglehart and Marvin J. Scott, Jr., passed away on March 31st, Resurrection Sunday, after an extended illness. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home in Houston, Texas surrounded by family and close friends.
Known for her warm smile and infectious laugh, Barbara will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Barbara’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. She is survived by her devoted children, four grandchildren, her only sister, Yvonne McNeil of Dunwoody, Georgia, and many cousins.
A private ceremony will be held for Barbara. A memorial celebration of Barbara’s life and inurnment will take place at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia at a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in Barbara’s name in lieu of flowers and memorial gifts are welcome.
