Barbara A. Hoyt

She met and married John Hoyt of Kingwood, Texas. Barbara was a woman of great faith and a devout member of Kingwood Church of Christ. Some of her many passions included playing bridge and traveling with her husband John. She had a love for card making and making scarves for hospital patients. Before retirement, Barbara worked in Education. All who came to know her will miss her dearly.

Barbara is preceded in death by her mother, Donna D. Gibbs; father, Robert R. Gibbs, brothers Royce Gibbs, John Gibbs and her loving husband, John Hoyt.

She is survived by her sister, Joyce Meade; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's name may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The family sincerely appreciates and wishes to acknowledge, the prayers and many acts of kindness shown to us. There is great comfort in the assurance that we are not alone in this hour of loss.

A funeral service at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039 is scheduled to begin promptly at 11:00 AM, in the Grand Oak Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home with reception to follow at Kingwood Church of Christ 2901 Woodland Hills Dr. Houston, TX 77339.
