Barbara Jean Bolton

She was born Barbara Jean McGough on August 1, 1932 in El Dorado, AR. to the late Emmett Lee and Annie McGough. Upon the family moving, she spent her childhood years in Huttig, AR. where she met and married her high school sweetheart Hercey Delmon Bolton on June 2, 1950. Barbara Jean and Hercey moved to Houston, TX. in 1950 where they raised their two sons until moving to Tomball, TX. in 1989.

Barbara Jean was a wonderful wife to Hercey for 70 years and loving mother to her sons Daniel and Steven and wife Angela. Barbara Jean also adored and was very proud of her grandchildren, Eric and wife Kristie; Evan and wife Marcelle; Brandon and wife Kandace; Ashley and husband Brandon; Steven and wife Daisy; Robert and wife Kimmy; Kent; Tyler and husband Marco; Edward and his wife Christine. Great grandchildren, Loreli; Seth; Emma; Michael; Araceli; Maddie; Emery; Jared; Nathan; Aubry; Chloe; Brianna; Mackenzie; Connor; Ashton; Alex; Charlotte; Analia; and Lucas.

Although Barbara Jean’s family grieves with her passing, they take comfort knowing she is no longer in pain and that they have many years of cherishable memories to reflect upon.

A visitation for Barbara Jean will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM with a Celebration of Life to follow at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX. 77038. A Committal Service will occur on March 10, 2021 at 12:45 PM at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX. 77038.
