Baird Lee Sibley Jr.

Baird Lee Sibley Jr., age 65, of Porter, Texas went to be with his Lord & Savior on Sunday, November 19, 2017. Baird was born February 17, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Georgia Sibley and Baird Lee Sibley Sr.

Baird was a current member of North Park Baptist Church for 30 years. He graduated from The University of Houston. He then started to work at Texaco and Star Enterprise/Motiva; a joint venture with Shell Oil for 32 years. After retiring, he had a calling to work at North Park Baptist Church, handling their accounting. He also became a part of New Hope Initiative Missions.

Baird liked watching high school football and playing golf. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Baird is survived by his loving spouse of 44 years, Deborah Sibley; son Mark Sibley and wife Elizabeth; and daughter Valerie Sibley and husband Rosbil; mother Georgia Sibley; siblings Debbie Schoppe and husband Keith, Connie Grein and husband Melvin and Duwayne Sibley and wife Julie; grandchildren Ethan Sibley, Samantha Martinez, Mia Martinez, Jordan Martinez and Renee Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Baird was preceded in death by; father Baird Lee Sibley Sr.; and brothers Gregory Sibley and David Sibley.

A visitation for Baird will be held Friday, November 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. and a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home - Grand Chapel with a committal service to follow immediately at Brookside Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers are Brian Grein, Chris Grein, Nathan Sibley, Ethan Sibley, Jordan Martinez and Rick Royall.
