Avelino is survived by; daughter Elsa M. Perez & husband Albert; son Javier Motta & wife Lisa Boortz; and son Johnny Motta, Sr.; sister Bertha Zavala 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
Avelino was preceded in death by his wife Bertha C. Motta; daughter Dora Y. Motta Flores; sons Avelino Motta, Jr. & Joe Joel Motta; father Juan Motta and mother Maria de Jesus Hernandez.
A visitation for Avelino will be held Sunday, April 1, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, with a rosary service at 7:30pm. The funeral service will occur Monday, April 2, 2018 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home with the interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
