Audrey K. Parker

Audrey Kirkland Parker, of Sugar Land, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Audrey was born on Oct. 18, 1924 in Hardin, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Evie Kirkland; son, Mac Parker; siblings, Cecil Kirkland, Opal Goodson, Bernice Adams and B.R. Kirkland Jr. Audrey graduated from Devers High school and later worked for Exxon for over 30 years as Director of the Travel Club. She had many loyal friends in Sugar Land. Audrey enjoyed making peanut brittle, hunting and fishing. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Devers, TX.

Audrey is survived by her sister, Nora Lee Ladd, sister-in-law, Dorothy Kirkland, brother-in-law, Doyle Adams and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted by her brother-in-law, Doyle Adams, on Dec. 30, 2013 at 12:00PM in the Memorial Mission Mausoleum at Forest Park Westheimer. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers: Jerry Adams, John Wilson, Mike Goodson, Fred Trotter, Gary Rodgers, Willie Goodson, Jason Goodson and Brady Hagen.
